Detailed Description

We developed Op-Tra, a comprehensive public transportation modernization system for the city of Montería, including real-time monitoring, route optimization, native mobile applications, and microfrontends for superior user experience.

The Challenge

Modernize the public transportation system of a medium-sized city, improving operational efficiency and end-user experience with cutting-edge technologies.

Our Solution

We implemented Op-Tra with microfrontends, native mobile applications (Android/iOS), Node.js backend, AI processing with Python and Roboflow, and serverless infrastructure on AWS.

Results Achieved

System delivered and in operation in Montería’s public transport: real-time fleet monitoring, on-board validators and apps for riders and operators. Executed under agreement 1367-2024 of the Colombian ICT Ministry with Universidad Nacional de Colombia. We do not publish impact figures we have not measured.
